Why thank you very much, anon. I know it’s just some little thing and a lot of people probably won’t even notice, but we all felt good for doing it; especially the other two ‘cause they’re not even gay. Hopefully we shitted off some hateful / misguided people. Maybe I’ll start taking proper stands on things and protest in a parade or something haha. The fine ladies with me were charlscream (main signbreaker) and rachyintheskywithdiamonds (getaway driver).
Just a casual friend dinner of KFC when suddenly we get word of some homophobic signs on the side of the road. Needless to say, we took these fuckers for our own and H8 can suck me off.
In all seriousness, though, Cairns needs to grow the fuck up. There is no way these should be standing along our highways and I’m disgusted they were even still there after probably 24 hours. After these horrible ads on TV that use homophobia as a political tool, I see these signs (which have nothing to do with politics) just chillin’ spreading hate for no reason.
They may not seem all that bad, but it’s what they imply that’s so damaging, especially here where you can actually get away with it. These would definitely not slide in any sort of big city. At least I could make out with a guy out the front of a club in Brisbane and not get the shit beaten out of me, I can’t even walk around the city of Cairns without being heckled (just another reason why I can’t wait to move in ONLY 4 MONTHS OMG).
